SBYPA Scholarship Program

Danielle with Saddle.

The SBYPA scholarship program provides financial assistance for high school and college students to learn polo and improve their polo playing skills through lessons, games, and competitions, both regional and national. Through the mechanism of financial assistance, the SBYPA wants to help instill a good understanding of teamwork and a strong sense of sportsmanship through the exciting sport of polo. For some students, this is a once in a lifetime chance to experience all polo has to offer.

Presently, the SBYPA Scholarship Program emphasis is in the Santa Barbara area through the Santa Barbara Polo School's Collegiate & Scholastic Arena Polo Program.

This polo program participates in the United States Polo Association's Intercollegiate and Interscholastic regional and national competitions held in the spring, subject to teams qualifying throughout the season.

For the 2008 - 2009 school year, up to 20 qualifying scholarship applicants (subject to program capacity) will be awarded scholarship funds, on a first come first serve basis, which will be paid out to the Santa Barbara Polo School to cover up to 75% of the cost of the polo program for each applicant.

If you qualify, getting the polo scholarship is an easy process.
