
SBYPA Scholarship Qualification Criteria
- One of the objectives of the program is to introduce new players to the sport, so scholarships
are awarded to students regardless of their riding or polo experience.
- Qualifying students must be 25 years or younger (see USAP Eligibility Cert. form for specific
date info.)
- Participating students must be enrolled full time in an accredited high school, college or
university and also be in good academic standing. Students must submit the enclosed USPA Eligibility
Certification form to be signed by their school admissions counselor. All submissions will be
verified by the scholarship committee.
- Students must submit a completed and legible scholarship application package by Nov. 15, 2008.
- Each applicant must submit a short typed essay (min. 150 words) describing their interest and
motivation in being involved in an arena polo program.
- Each applicant must meet the criteria (completed releases, balance of fee payment, etc.) of the
polo program before scholarship funds are awarded and paid out to the SBPS. Please see
